Day 4 Agra-Jaipur 5th Nov 07
Got up early this morning and we all went on a horse cart ride from the hotel to the Red Fort. What an awesome experience dodging the morning traffic, near misses with buses, tuk-tuks and cars etcs and looking at everyone faces. The fort is amazing. Spectacular archways, sculptures, mosiacs and niches everywhere. There were lots of red sandstone structures hence the name the Red Fort.
This is my first pic with a holy man from India. I am pretty sure there will be lots of more of that to come. We got mobbed by more street hawkers outside the fort and this is where I bought my first Kama Sutra book. hehehhehe. Then we took off to Jaipur which is our next stop.
Leanne and I at the back of the coach having a giggle whilst we are reading our own copy of the Kama Sutra. Some of the positions in the book is unbelievable. You have to be a flexible contortonist to be performing some of the acts. What a hoot though!!!!!!.
We arrived at our 'haveli' (once a home of a rich and opulent merchant) and here I met my very first Nepalese people. All the houseboys here are from Nepal and they are the most gentle and sweetest guys. Leanne and I had our very own private puppet show near the pool area as the rest of the girls were getting ready to celebrate Deborah's birthday tonight.
Princess Magic surrounded by her new found 'friends'.The birthday party was held at the Singpura House another 'haveli'. Lots of Indian food, India beer "Kingfisher" and Rajastani music and on the spot belly dancing by the girls and my clumsy attempts as well. It was a great night.
Karen, Deborah (birthday girl), Shar, me and Leanne.
