Day 3 Delhi-Agra 4th Nov 2007

Leaving Delhi today and heading off to Agra to see the Taj Mahal. The trip took 1/2 day and everyone is soaking in all the sights and sounds during the journey.

The Taj Mahal is magnificient. The surrealness vision astounds me when I walked thru the doorway leading towards the Taj Mahal. I have seen pictures of this Seven Wonders of the World numerous times but to be standing in front of it really blew me away. There is no way you can judge the size and width of the monument until you are directly standing in front of it. Awesome!!!!!! Since it was Sunday and also leading towards Dewali, there were thousands and thousands of people there.

We spent hours here taking lots of photos of the Taj Mahal and the surrounding monuments and structures surrounding the Taj. There are intricate white marble designs and sculptures and mosaics designs. We had to line up to get inside to view the tombs of the Maharaja and Maharani. It took ages as the queue were limitless. By the time we got inside it was already dark. It was quite humbling for me to be standing in front of their tombs and relieved that in death, the lovebirds were united and resting side by side. The power of love holds no bonds.
The whole of the PT Group (Prakash & Terezka's group)!!!!!!

We were pretty exhausted and as you can see both myself and Leanne looked tired but still grining from ear to ear after the awesome experience at the Taj.
And to think that it was only Febuary this year that myself and Leanne had our picture taken beside a poster of the Taj Mahal at a Sydney Station and today we are actually experiencing and touching the real thing!!!!!
