Day 2 Delhi 3rd Nov 07
Feeling rested and refreshed and getting to know one another from the group. Today will be sight seeing day in and around Delhi. I am amazed with the amount of people and the traffic here!!!! I thought that I have seen it all but this is a first!!! The pollution, noises, colours, people and monuments and buildings everywhere. Almost hurt my neck looking side to side from the windows. There is so much to see and to experience.
First up we saw the Laksmi Raya Temple and then over to Indian Gate and to the Parliment place of Delhi and Mahatma Gandhi Cemetery to see his monument.
Laksmi Raya Temple. It was pretty busy, we only stood outside to take photos and were mobbed by street vendors while we were outside the bus!!!.
India Gate. That me and Leanne in the middle and Prakash on the right hand side with the video camera taking in the sights and filming the whole tour.
We took a rickshaw ride outside a Mosque and I wished that I have 5 sets of eyes!!! There was so much to see and I just kept clicking with my camera just to try to capture everything. Wished I have a smell cam as well too. We all felt eyes upon us as we are a minority now in India. Everyone is so friendly and with wide smiles and the gentle nodding of the heads.

Me outside the Mosque with Princess Magic. Leanne and I decided instead of our coffee book of yoga positions of us in India, we will subsitute with using Princess Magic as the mascot and she will be featured in an adventure blog of her own and taking in the sights and people of India. Stay tuned for it.
Then it was time for lunch and whilst the girls were waiting, I went to the snake charmer and had a snake around me neck and a cobra on my lap. I did this to over come my fear of snakes. I might looked calm on the outside but rest assured that my heart was beating a tad too fast for my liking. But hey it was a risk that I wanted to take. (ps. the cobra is de-fanged so what is there to loose anyway)
Then it was off to the Lotus Bahai Temple. This reminds me of the Opera House in Sydney. It has similar arches and curves. With the sun setting behind, it makes a spectacular picture.
We finished off the night with dinner at a local restuarant and watched and participated with folk dancers of India. It was fun. I got dragged up stage and have to imitate the dancers with all their moves. Lots of laughs.
