Feb 11th 2007 - Manchu Picchu,Peru
Woke up at 6am and both myself and Mary Ellen made up our mind to head off to the mountain again to see the ruins. It was a good day yesterday but with the rain, we did not get to see everything and also did not really felt that well connected with the place as the tour was a bit rushed. So up we went and here are some of the photos. This time we meandered slowly and took our time to feel connection with the ruins.
The morning was glorious and sunny whilst we were there. Early morning is the best time to see the ruins before busloads of tourists starts pouring into the place. We walked thru the ruins slowly and stopping from time to time to soak in the atmosphere. The view is magnificient with the fine mist and clouds shroudding the ruins. We saw quite a few animals and they represents very interesting idealogy.
Rabbits- to confront one's fear.
Butterflies- transformation from one stage to another.
Birds - freedom.
I felt this to be true for me personally. I have come to a 3rd stage in my life and doing this prilgrimage to Manchu Picchu has re-illiterate the experiences. I am so glad that we both made the decision to come back up today and really felt connected. This is the journey that I had to have to make sense of being into perceptive.
