Feb 10th 2007- Manchu Picchu, Peru

We caught the train into Manchu Picchu and what a scenic route with gorges and rapid from the river. It looks like a river of chocolate milk with white froth on top. What a wonderous views of the Andes mountains and the types of lush vegetations on the hills and ledges.

Arrived at Manchu Picchu and have to take a bus ride up the mountain to get to the ruins. The ride was quite hairy as we did get pretty close to the mountain edges and some of the road is only one traffic way. When we arrived at the ruins, I had to shed a few tears. My dream has finally come true and I am really here, now, present!!!!. It is an awesome feeling and all I can do is to marvel at the advanced architecture and the history of these civilisation.
It started to rain and it was great to actually see the irrigational system the Incas have in place working in action. Everybody got saturated but the euphoric feeling of being here diminished the uncomfortableness.

Got back to the township
and did some exploring
around with Ali and Mary Ellen.
