Hassan Yossef & the Dervish Drummers

Hassan, my tabla teacher and his troupe was performing at the Ra Bazzar Egyptian Store in Victoria Park today and I went along to see them perform. The girls looked great in their beautiful outfit and Angela looked so angelic with her Cleopartra tiara. Alli, Viv and Liz along with Hassan created such a fantastic atmosphere and everyone enjoyed every minute of it. It sort of reminded me to get my act together and start my lessons with Hassan again.

Bazaar

Last Monday was a public holiday here in Perth. Maggie and I met up to visit the Bellydancing Bazaar held in Subiaco. Belly Dancers from all the local schools were performing and also there were stalls that were selling costumes, scarves, jewellery and music. Maggie's eyes lit up with all the 'blings' and I am happy with my tabla drum and tamourine purchase. Also we caught up with the troupe from my bellydancing school.
