India - Here I come!!!!

Just a couple more days to go before my much anticipated trip to Northern India with a group of Belly Dancers from over East. This has been more than a year's planning. Rest assure that there will be lots of photos and videos and wish I can develop a 'smell' cam so I can share all sort of strange smells from India. I can't wait. Getting very excited now. The camels have been hired and will be waiting for us at one of the hotel destination in one the exotic places we will be visiting. There will be an elephant ride as well. I absolutely adored elephants as they are such magnificient animals. Leanne and I intend to do a 'coffee-book' with the both of us in different locations in India doing all sorts of Yoga poses. Opps..... that reminds me to polish up on the different yoga positions. Taj Mahal here we COME!!!!!!!!!!

Shrine of Remembrance

I was in Melbourne earlier on this week to meet up with my Buyer Agent to purchase another investment property. I had a free morning and went to the Shrine of Remembrance to pay my respect. The monument was so magnificent and totally stood out on the top of the crest in Melbourne CBD. I spent quite a long time there and walked around to admire the statues and to soak in the atmosphere and ambinence.

Spring in the Valley

This weekend was the "Spring in the Valley" festival at the Swan Valley. My friend, Abby stopped to thru Perth from Johanesburg on her home to Melbourne and this is her first visit here. We took a leisurely drive to the valley and stop at the Margaret River Chocolate Factory and a few winery and craft stalls.

Radio Competition

Darryl, my work collegue won a place with the local radio station 96fm to have the opportunity to win $30k worth of shares. Him and 87 other participates were invited down to the city for breakfast and were given a number and to pick a key to unlock the truck that is holding the share certificate. He invited me along for moral support.

It was a pretty big truck. After our coffee, banana bread and fruity muffins, everyone was getting antsy to get started.

Matt the pom, Fitzy and Tony were the radio DJs hosting the competition. Darryl's number was 88 (which is a very auspisious number). Unfortunately for Darryl before he even had a chance to have his turn, Participent 43 has turned the lock and opened the truck!!!!!

Here he is being congratulated by the stockbrokers. He looked pretty calm but there was a slight tremour in his speech. Well done. Bummer for Darryl but there is always a next time.
